October 6th-10th 2026 ~ Ranchita, CA
Silver – “Silver was my first horse, adopted in 2001. Originally named Yo-Yo, I changed his name to Silver, and together we founded Silver Horse Healing Ranch—later renamed Silver Horse Retreat when we moved from Topanga in 2014. I owe everything to him. Silver was the original “dancing horse,” and the reason I began this work. He helped hundreds—perhaps thousands—of people heal from trauma and depression.
Silver passed on November 23, 2019, at 35½ years old, after 17 years by my side. His legacy lives on in all that I do.”
~ Sara Fancy (Silver Horse Ranch)
Constellations With Horses
Horses are deeply intelligent beings, and we are blessed to connect with them. They have a remarkable ability to sense our emotions, traumas, and unspoken needs, much like certain dogs and cats. Horses can guide us toward healing—and they transformed my life.
My Horse Story
About 15 years ago in Boulder, Colorado, I stepped into a round pen with Horse Beings, setting an intention for healing. A striking young male horse approached me, and the medicine began. I asked myself and The Field: What do I need to learn and heal? The answer was profound.
The horse was dominating me, moving in a way that felt overwhelming, even sexual, and I was oblivious, thinking, Nice horse, nice horse… Meanwhile, those outside the pen were captivated or concerned for my safety. Then it hit me—a life-changing revelation: I was blind to the oversexualized dynamic in my relationship with my mother. This truth struck hard, revealing inappropriate patterns I hadn’t faced before. The Horse Being sensed this wound within me, and through my intention and his awareness, guided me to a transformative breakthrough.
Many of you will experience similar healing at the Working With Horses Constellation Training Module, and I’m thrilled for your journey.
Horse Constellations Are Magical
Led by Sara Fancy, an expert in Horse and Family Constellations, this 5-day retreat in Borrego Springs, California, offers a unique blend of equine-guided healing and personal growth. Expect 3 full days with the horses and 2 days of student-led constellations, including small group exercises and teachings. Learn more about Sara and the Horses here.
Student-facilitators can experience constellations with the horses, while Sara shares techniques for working with these powerful beings. Support Team members will also participate and may receive traditional constellations from student-facilitators.
A Residential Retreat
Trauma comes in two forms: commission (harm from actions done to you) and omission (scars from unmet needs). At this retreat, we’re committed to supporting you fully, ensuring your emotional and practical needs are met.
Our incredible assistants, Stefanie Ting and Amber Mahoney, will join me to guide and nurture you. Each day includes self-serve breakfast options and a healthy provided lunch. Dinners are your choice—join others in town, relax and integrate, or wander the desert to honor your soul’s needs.
Housing for This Module Choose between cozy, connection-focused AirBnBs shared with other participants or private hotel accommodations. Our two days of hands-on practice will take place at the larger AirBnB. Borrego Springs is compact, so everything is conveniently close. For AirBnB details and costs (a more affordable option than hotels), contact me to choose your room. Click the photos for house details.
About Borrego Springs
A charming desert village nestled between Los Angeles and San Diego, roughly two hours from each, Borrego Springs is renowned for its pristine dark skies, ideal for stargazing, and its serene, sprawling desert landscape.
Surrounded by the 650,000-acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, this small community of about 3,000 offers access to vibrant wildflower blooms, ancient rock art, slot canyons, and fossil-rich badlands. Over 130 giant metal sculptures by Ricardo Breceda, depicting dinosaurs and mythical creatures, dot the terrain, adding artistic whimsy. As California’s first International Dark Sky Community, it provides unparalleled stargazing, hiking to palm oases, and dispersed camping, all rooted in its Kumeyaay heritage and historic exploration by Juan Bautista de Anza.
Opportunities in This Module
This training module offers two roles—Student-Facilitators and Support Team—designed around five core principles:
- Soul-level personal work for Students to become skilled facilitators and overcome personal blocks.
- Deep personal work for the Support Team.
- Knowledge and wisdom gained through small group exercises in which everyone participates.
- Hands-on practice for Students to build confidence.
- Supervised practice for advanced Students, facilitating full Constellations for the Support Team with feedback from the trainer.
The Student-Facilitator Experience Students are committed to deepening their understanding of Constellation work through embodied learning, focusing on connecting with the Field and facilitating Constellations from an intuitive space. Hands-on practice is central to their experience.
Students-Facilitators will:
- Participate in all group exercises.
- Receive Horse Constellations facilitated by Sara Fancy.
- Facilitate small & full Constellations for the Support Team.
Support Team Experience Support Team members fully engage in the training, participating in group discussions, representations, and small group exercises. They gain the same knowledge as Students, except for hands-on facilitation practice, and receive mini Constellations facilitated by Students. They may also experience full Constellations, gaining Soul-level insights into childhood challenges that may still impact them and receiving profound healing.
Support Team members are typically passionate about Constellation work and seek its healing and wisdom without intending to facilitate. However, they may later pursue certification by applying their attendance toward it, with additional costs and hands-on practice required. Contact me with questions.
